StrutBarbarian brace
- What cars does the Strut Barbarian
fit? The StrutBarbarian
is currently available for 1999-2004 E46 330/328/325/323 models and for
1992-1999 E36 6-cylinder cars (the M3, 328, 325 and 323).
- Does this void my new car warranty? No.
- Does the Strut Barbarian
come in any colors? The StrutBarbarian
comes is available in silver and black,
each with contrasting UUC logo.
- How much does the Strut Barbarian
weigh?
The StrutBarbarian weighs approximately 2 pounds.
- Does the StrutBarbarian
work with camber plates? The StrutBarbarian
works with most aftermarket camber plates. If using K-Macs, using
the top ring is not required any longer as the rings of the StrutBarbarian are now used as the reinforcement rings.
- Does the Strut Barbarian
touch the under-hood
foam? All aftermarket strut braces will touch, and slightly
compress, the foam underneath the hood. Some touch more
than others. Compared to the other CNC'd bars that we've measured,
the StrutBarbarian has a lower profile, which means it compress the hood foam the least.
- What about a rear bar? Not
required on 3-series cars unless used purely for racing purposes.
- How much does the StrutBarbarian cost?
Available in two versions (both available in silver or black):
- 100% magnesium including end plates, $495.
- Magnesium center bar with aluminum end plates, $369.
- What is the difference between the
magnesium end plates and the aluminum end plates?
Functionally, nothing. The aluminum weighs more, adding about
1/3lb. to the assembly.
