What's new with Generation 2? We took everything that was great about the original UUC M3 muffler, and redesigned everything to make it easier to install, lighter, and with a more aggressive sound.

UUC's E46 M3 muffler section has been specifically tuned for the M3's unique sound characteristics.

Our testing and tuning period for this muffler extends over two years, with prototyping on one of the very first M3s in the USA.

The final result is a pleasing tone, deeper and more authoritative than the original. This is not a system that is too loud, but is "just right" for those that spend longer periods of time in the car and do not want a droning or excessively loud exhaust.

		We designed the E46 M3 muffler section with several performance goals in mind: deep tone, suitable to character of the M3 exact factory fit. compatibility with the original BMW midpipe or UUC Rasp-X. no change in ground clearance. weight savings compared to stock system: 39.5lbs (original is approximately 55lbs) tip design: 4 x 3" double-walled and polished. legitimate hp gains (beware of inflated and unrealistic "marketing" hp numbers from other offerings!). no impact on emissions or warranty. Superior Materials and design All UUC performance exhaust components are built from 100% T-304 stainless steel. All bends are smooth mandrel bends to retain full-diameter flow, and all joints are TIG-welded. Factory-style mounting flanges are used, and all factory mounting points are retained. 100% MADE IN USA WARNING: Beware of so-called "stainless steel" exhaust systems using a 400-grade steel. 403, 404, etc., are grades of steel that are "stain resistant" but will eventually rust. This cheaper material is often responsible for the significant price differences. UUC uses T-304, a true "stainless" steel that will never rust. How it works Of the many ways to design a muffler, sometimes the factory design is a decent basis. With that in mind, the UUC M3 Performance muffler follows the original layout of an entry muffling section, a central mixing chamber, and then outlet routing to the quad tips.
